President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo as minister.
The President, who announced this in a letter addressed to Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, which was read on the floor of the Senate at yesterday’s plenary session, also revoked the ministerial nomination of Maryam Shetty, from Kano State, and replacing her with Dr. Mariya Mahmud Bunkure.
Tinubu said his decision is in line with the provisions of section 147(2) of the 1999 Constitution as Amended.
Recall that the President, through his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Wednesday submitted an additional list of ministerial nominees containing the name of Maryam Shetty during the ongoing Ministerial Screening.
